Chapter one

The male and the female, who were known as Terence and Astrid started to move towards the taxi awaiting them. While waiting for the two that were just stepping into the taxi, the three that were left over started to discuss the events of a couple of years ago, when their friend committed suicide. “He can’t have died” “He did, it was obvious” “No, no, I still don’t believe it” “Well we don’t even know the cause of his death, actually, I’ve basically forgotten about it” “Who’d know?” “Any of his close friends could know…” “Were any of us one of his close friends?” “No.” “Do you remember when I tried to get him killed wit—I mean, paired… strange.” “You tried to kill him and someone else?” “No, why would I?” “Because you could…?” “No, I couldn’t… I wonder whether anyone else thinks that it was possible that I could…”

Seconds later, no reply came from any of the three, so one of them walked off...

“Nica, wait up, I’m coming with you” “What for? I might kill you…” “I didn’t mean it like that” “Fine then, what DID you mean?” “I meant… that it would be awesome if you killed someone” “Oh riiiight” she replied sarcastically. “Alex, come with us too, we’ll go visit Astrid and Terence now.”

On the opposite side of the world… two females were discussing boys, jobs and boys. “Okay Margie, your turn, truth or dare?” “Hmm… truth!” “Out of all the males on PC, which one meant the most to you?” “Rachy! I can’t answer that.” “Why not… too chicken?” “Ugh… no, I don’t want to answer.” “Fine, well my turn.” “Okay, truth or dare?” “Dare” “I dare you… to travel to Australia.” “Oh my God, how am I supposed to do that?” “Taxi?” the girl laughed under her breath. “Well… I can’t do that either. This game sucks. We should do something.” “Like… ?” “No clue.” The two girls just sat down and started to look bored.

Back in Australia… Astrid and Terence met up with the other three. “Okay so, hi Nica! Who are the other two?” “I’m Alex, and this is Garret” “Okay, hi!”

Moments later, after the initial greetings, each of the five settled down and began to discuss anything that popped into their minds. Like the other two, these five were willing to play truth and dare too. “Truth” “… you really want the truth?” “Yes… and no, I’m the one answering, no duh. I’ll be giving you the truth.” “Yeah, whatever… um… the question is, who do you like more, my country or yours?” “Well that’s a stupid question.” “Are you intending to answer?” “Not this year, maybe sometime later.” “Now, I shall ask you… truth or dare?” “Um… dare.” “Ooh, interesting” one added in. “Yes well, the dare is?” “See that old man over there?” “Uh huh.” “Well, I dare you to go hug him.” “You… can’t… be… serious.” “Oh yes I can. So, willing to?” “Make it a double dare and I’ll think about it.” “Nope, you’re on your own.” “Damn you…” “Yes, yes, now… hugging time!” “Ugh.”
